A Little About Us

First Star Entertainment was formed in 1994 by writer and producer Steve Stumpf, together with co-producer Kerry Schulte, to produce high quality film, television and other profitable entertainment and multimedia projects.

First Star’s reputation as a production company focused on high quality content was solidified with the creation of the “Apple Valley” sitcom, and the feature film “Good Karma” that was featured at the 2012 Cannes film festival.

We have developed and enjoy positive, long-standing relationships with many well-known, respected industry professionals that provide us an additional depth of resources that allow us to enjoy a platform adaptable to diverse markets. Locally, we are connected with several Native Northwest Tribes, with whom we have worked extensively for more than 20 years in a documentary capacity for many significant tribal events.

Currently, we are in the production phases on multiple feature films, including the highly anticipated “Cry of the Spilyay,“ and in pre-production of the comedy sitcom, “Home Grown.“

Our mission is to produce and market high quality entertainment programs, with the goal of producing one to two feature films a year, together with other, smaller productions. Combined with our skills and experience, the enduring principles of quality production and in family-friendly formats will ensure positive growth in this ever-changing industry.

We will continue to succeed and grow by actively seeking qualified investors for our projects, which we believe possess substantial entertainment and profit potential.

Chief Executive Officer

Steve is the founder of First Star Entertainment, and has produced films, sitcoms and substantial Native American documentaries for the Pacific Northwest Tribes. His work spans more than 20 years and includes film presentations at Cannes for "Good Karma," "Bobby Lee Far From Home, MSE from California and documentaries for the Muckleshoot and Elwha tribes, working with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Kerry Schultz

Executive Officer

As Steve's partner in First Star, Kerry has worked on every project of First Star either in the capacity of executive, associate or audio producer. He has been involved with the entertainment business for over 30 years as a sound professional for movie, video, studio and live performances.

Adam Martin

Technical & Logistics

Adam works with First Star Entertainment in a technical and advisory capacity, and will be instrumental during the production phases with logistics, technology and personnel. He produced Music & Heart in
Wright Park and the Stars 4 Peace with Artists 4 Life in the Sound, creating positive social change through music and the arts.
